Just a few words
Fayne’s progressive metalcore experience causes physical and emotional responses you never knew existed. Introspection, the process of understanding and the hunt to discover what’s behind the veil of everyday life are some of Fayne’s state-altering musical themes.
To see Fayne live is to take that jump you’ve been itching for - veins to the sky, and into the light.
Fayne is a progressive, metal/metalcore act based out of Montreal, Canada. This unstoppable quartet delivers heavy-driven drums, crushing guitar riffs and basslines, crowned with powerful clean and screaming vocals.
The band began to make waves as early as 2004 with their release of the debut EP “You Took It All Away.” In 2006, their follow up EP “Delivering The Final Blow” was released, further cementing the band’s notoriety and popularity. Earning their stripes with live shows across Eastern Canada allowed them to play alongside bands like: Alexisonfire, Underoath, and Hopesfall.
After pursuing and collaborating on other musical interests, 2014 brought another hard hitting release entitled “The Queen Of Kings,” mixed by founding member Alex Gonzalez and mastered by Alan Douches (Between The Buried And Me, Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die) of West West Side Music. The release would bring on a self-booked and managed, 9 day tour through Quebec and Ontario, as well as local supporting slots for The Contortionist and Vanna.
Having parted ways with their singer, the writing and recording for their first full-length album brought urgency in finding a new vocalist. In the summer of 2017, that search came to an end. Fellow Montreal metal musician Justin Furtado (formerly of Red skies and Feels Like Home) joined Fayne and became the leading voice in the upcoming full-length record, “Journals”. It is Fayne’s most recent and most dominating release to date. It was mixed and mastered by Jamie King (The Contortionist, Between the Buried and Me), at The Basement Recording NC, released on November 30th, 2018 on all streaming platforms worldwide, as well as in CD format.
The band’s single “Grimspeak” has reached 30,000+ streams on Spotify and has allowed Fayne to maintain a consistent 1000+ monthly listeners on the platform for over 10 months now. The video for “Grimspeak” was the catalyst that allowed for a strong Spotify performance. The video was streamed over 40,000 times on the band’s YouTube channel and SoundMojo’s official channel combined. Additionally, Fayne garnered and held the #4 spot on CJLO’s LOUD! Chart, while also placing them at #67 on CJLO’s best metal band of 2019 list.
